Merry Christmas!

We've had a great day with Audrey. It was nice to have both her grandfathers, her Baba, and Uncle Bryan here. Hopefully tomorrow her Uncle David will join us for some more fun! We just wish we could have seen everyone we're missing. We hope you had a wonderful holiday.

Audrey enjoyed the wrapping paper and climbed all over her many gifts. I've included a few short videos too.

Last night Audrey tried bread and cheese as her first real table food - even though it was just in teeny tiny pieces, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Still no teeth!

Audrey loves Rosie, and Rosie seems to love Audrey too!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Hi everyone,

We are about to head down to Bowling Green so Audrey can meet Santa & to do some last minute shopping. As you can see from the photos, Audrey's Baba is in town for Christmas - and we finally have a tree.

Audrey has had a pretty busy time for the last couple of weeks. She had her first cold - I felt bad for her, but she handled it really well and recovered pretty quickly.

She also had her first shoulder ride:

And sat in a restaurant high chair for the first time

And in one weekend she started crawling, clapping & babbling. She is combining syllables alot now and really seems to enjoy talking & trying to sing a little too :) She also has a new funny laugh when she's excited about doing things like walking. Standing & walking are pretty much her favorite things to do, so we do a lot of holding her hands while she moves around. She also started to cruise a little - walking holding onto furniture. It's all happening so quickly!

Here's a video from a couple of nights ago:

I will take lots of Christmas photos and post them as soon as I can. We're excited to see Michael's Dad and brothers too, we're going to have a full house!

Merry Christmas everyone! Love, Audrey, Sandy & Michael

Eating & Drinking

Audrey keeps trying new things all the time. She's a really good eater. Tonight she tried a rice "rusk" and seemed to like it pretty well. She was definitely interested in it and ate about half of it. She is starting to try to chew things, so it was good practice for her. I can't help being paranoid that she's going to choke, but as long as we're careful & watching her I'm sure she'll be fine.

She really likes to drink water out of a glass, but it's hard to get a good picture of it.

Audrey also enjoys eating her highchair.

And here she is with her Papa.

We don't have our Christmas tree up, but we're excited to set it up once Audrey's Baba arrives on Thursday. Audrey does enjoy our little fiberoptic tree though.

Audrey met Santa for the first time today at the animal shelter's open house. We're waiting to get a copy of the photo by email. She didn't get to sit in his lap, but didn't seem too nervous. We'll try her out with the santa at the mall, probably next weekend.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend!

Sorry for the gap again!

Time is just flying by! I'm so busy with work & Audrey, the days go by so quickly.

Audrey and I were lucky enough to go to California for American Thanksgiving. We had a great time visiting with her Baba, Aunt Chrystal & Uncle Justin and cousin Adele. We spent most of the visit in Palm Springs enjoying Baba's new house. Audrey tried out the hot tub - at a safe temperature of course :)

Audrey is getting stronger all the time. She is trying really hard to crawl, and is constantly on the move - rolling, squirming, spinning herself around on her belly. Once she actually does crawl, I'm sure she's going to be all over the place! She still loves to stand too and is getting better at that as well. She also has started to try to take steps when she is held up, it's pretty exciting. Exciting, but I also know she's going to wear me out trying ot keep up with her!

She's also eating more all the time. As you can see from the photos, she tried a baby teething cookie in California and was quite a fan! She's not quite ready for real solids yet though. I've been gradually thickening her oatmeal though, and she's getting close. So far she has tried rice cereal and oatmeal, green beans, sweet peas, squash, sweet potatoes, and bananas. No allergies yet, thankfully!

The weather has finally turned cold here. We're looking forward to the holidays & spending lots of time with all the family that are coming to visit.

Thanks for checking in!
