Happy Birthday Aunt Chrystal!

Audrey wanted to wish her Aunt Chrystal a very happy birthday! We're excited to go visit her next week!

Now that Audrey has started "talking", she has just taken off with it! She plays around with her tongue making all sorts of noises! This video is a little longer, but I hope you enjoy it.


And here are a couple of cute photos, poor Audrey scratched her face yesterday :( It's so hard to keep up with her sharp little fingernails!




Tomorrow we're off to Toronto for the weekend, hopefully we'll have lots of fun pictures when we get back!

Boy does time fly!

Audrey is now four months old! She had her check-up with her pediatrician and neonatologist yesterday, and she is doing great. She weighed 11 pounds 6 ounces!! Well over triple her birth weight, and on her way to quadrupling. She was also doing really well developmentally and was ahead of many of the targets based on her corrected age.

In this photo Audrey isn't her happiest, but you can really see her eyes are still quite blue. I keep waiting for them to turn brown, but I'm hoping they won't :)


All of a sudden this week, Audrey started "talking". She makes all sorts of noises, it's really cute. She's also working on pushing up when she lays on her stomach & can get her head looking straight ahead & her chest off of the ground. She even makes little crawling motions. Audrey is also almost rolling over. She is growing and changing so much, it's pretty amazing.

Michael has been out of town a lot lately for work, but Audrey has been getting easier in the evenings, so it really hasn't been too hard. We're always happy when he gets home though. Audrey always has lots of smiles for her daddy.

We've had a nice weekend so far. On Friday evening, Audrey and I went to a "Spay-ghetti & No-Balls" fundraiser dinner for the local animal shelter.

Then we went to an outdoor concert in Bowling Green on Friday night with our friends Julie and P.J. and their son Wilder.


Wilder is about 3.5 months older than Audrey. He started crawling recently and was trying to find a snack in the bag. But then he just decided to eat the bag :)



And yesterday we borrowed Wilder's bumbo seat - it was a big hit! It's a neat little seat that helps babies sit up.

We had a great Fourth of July!

Audrey loves boats. She especially loved being on a moving boat, she seemed to like the movement & the wind in her hair.

The weather wasn't perfect, but it was not too bad, and we really enjoyed ourselves at the lake. Our friends had their houseboat tied up at a little island that we had to ourselves, it was pretty neat! Our friend Julie's mom, Mary Hall, held Audrey for us so we could swim around the island.


It was also Michael's & my wedding anniversary last week, we didn't really have any celebration other than our weekend. I can't believe it has been four years already!

Audrey will be four months old on Saturday! She will have her four-month check-up next week, I'm quite curious to find out exactly how much she's grown. I'm not so excited about the shots though.

Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada day to everyone! For those of you who don't know, Audrey is a dual-citizen already, she was actually a dual citizen when she was born, what a lucky girl! In honour of Canada Day, Audrey wore her red Roots outfit from her cousin Adele.



Audrey still has an active social life. Last weekend she had an interesting cultural experience when we attended an Indian wedding reception. I think she enjoyed the music, as well as meeting our friend Heather.


We had a nice breakfast with our friends Karalee & Derek. Audrey woke up for a little visit with their son Kennick. He's 3.5 months older than Audrey, he seems like a giant next to her! But she's catching up :)



Kennick was nice enough to share one of his toys with Audrey & let her borrow it. She loves it! It's really neat to see her reaching out trying to touch things, and actually being successful sometimes. She's really changing & developing a lot now.

Audrey is getting really big now, I think she might actually triple her birth weight by her 4 month check up!

Audrey is three months old!

It's hard to believe that Audrey is three months old already! I was just saying this week that my time in the hospital seems like a dream, it was such a surreal experience, but already seems like a distant memory. She's getting so much bigger, on the scale at home today she was 8.5 pounds. She really really loves to eat!

Michael is really great with Audrey. He helps with her alot, and she really likes it when he talks with her. He likes to dance with her too - she seems to enjoy it.

We've been having a lot of fun taking photos lately.

We had a nice weekend with Audrey's Baba. My mom is in town for one more week, and we'll be sad to see her go. Yesterday we went down to Tennessee, Michael went for a bike ride and my mom and Audrey and I went for a bit of a walk. Then we went out for Mexican food - and Michael enjoyed a frosty beverage :)








Today we went out for brunch, and thankfully Audrey fell asleep on the way there and slept the whole time! I bought the smart cookie outfit just for Michael :) Oh, and I forgot - Audrey wore her first pair of shoes today! Michael's dad bought them for her when he came down to visit. Thanks Avo!







Michael and Baba spent most of the day outside today working on the yard. It looks great! Michael also got an early father's day gift - an outdoor firepit, something he's been wanting for a long time!!
