Last weekend was the Memorial Day long weekend so we took the opportunity to take Audrey up for her first visit to Canada. We had a very nice time visiting friends and family, although it was rushed as usual!
Audrey's Baba went back to California for the week to finalize the purchase of her new home in Palm Springs. We look forward to visiting there soon, but are glad she's coming to stay with us for the month of June.
Here are some photos from our trip Audrey with her Great-Grandmother: Audrey with Michael's relatives - I think you can see the resemblance!:

And with our friends Paul & Jenny:

Here are Audrey and her daddy taking a little nap:
I have more photos, but need to get to bed, so I'm going to stop here. Audrey is still doing great. She loves to eat and is getting big. She still isn't quite smiling, but she is getting more and more alert and is getting better at controlling her head. She is also starting to reach out towards things to try to touch them.
Audrey has been very busy celebrating being two months old. I've had all sorts of fun posts planned, such as "Audrey goes to work" and "Audrey goes to Hollywood" and "Audrey goes to the Beach" - but now I've just crammed them all into one giant post! Audrey weighs a little over 7 pounds now and has finally passed her due date!
I had to start back to work recently, and thankfully I've been able to bring Audrey with me sometimes. She seems to like it :)
I took Audrey to L.A. and had a great visit with Audrey's Aunt Chrystal & Uncle Justin, big cousin Adele, and her Baba of course!
Here are the cousins together!
Here are photos of some of our adventures in L.A. At the beach: At the park!
Having lunch in Beverly Hills :)
At the Huntington Gardens in L.A. - beautiful! Hanging out at Chrystal & Justin's Dinner in Pasadena - Audrey was fascinated with the black and white stickers and actually tried to reach out and touch them.
I normally try to post once or twice a week, so I really don't plan on having such a long hiatus again! Today we're heading back to the motherland for the long weekend - we're taking Audrey to Toronto to see family and friends. Hope you all have a great weekend!
Here's a fun collage - Audrey's really grown into her first outfit! (Hint - the left and bottom photos are the more recent ones :)
Audrey's umbilical cord fell off last week, finally! I thought it was never going to fall off. Now we're trying to figure out if she'll have an innie or an outie. I was not aware of this before, but apparently 90% of people have innies!
It looks like she is maybe starting to smile - or it may be gas - but she is starting to smile more either way, which is nice!
She is having more alert periods, and is sometimes awake for two hours at a time, but she still sleeps almost all of the time.
She is doing really well with breastfeeding, and I think it will just get easier from now on as she gets bigger and stronger.
An average 7 week old baby would probably be smiling and cooing, which Audrey isn't doing yet, but she isn't even supposed to be born yet! She was still one week early yesterday. So she won't be considered behind any developmental goals for another 7 weeks. She hasn't been weighed in almost two weeks, but she's somewhere around 6.5 pounds now since she seems to be growing and getting chubbier and doing well.
This weekend we saw a baby that was 2 days younger than Audrey. It was bizarre, the baby was SO different from Audrey. Not only was it almost exactly twice as big as her, there was also a big difference in its alertness. It was pretty fun to see.
We're excited for Audrey to develop and grow, but I'm definitely treasuring my time with her and not worrying about it! She is so tiny and amazing.
I actually don't have many pictures from this weekend, but Audrey visited with Aunt Mo & Uncle Kyle on Friday night, went to Lexington to see our friends Kris & Candace, went to her first Derby party, and had another fun bath. Her hair still gets so nice and fluffy! Overall it was a great weekend.
Hope you all had a fun weekend too! Here are some photos from our week.
Michael dressed Audrey up for the trip to Lexington. This is the outfit I bought to be her "going home" outfit, but she still barely fits into it! Look at those little feet!
Audrey wearing her first dress earlier this week! The days have been alternating between hot and sunny, and thunderstorms and cooler. This was obviously on one of the hot days. And some fun time after a bath.
